Connor MacLennan

Connor is an undergrad intern at the Gladstone Institutes, with experience in applying recently invented gene editing techniques to understand the complex etiology of disease. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in chemical biology at the University of California, Berkeley concurrent with a Bachelor of Arts in political science degree at San Francisco State University. Connor has received numerous accolades for his efforts to learn more about how genetics contribute to the onset of disease alongside extensive training with leading experts in the fields of neuroscience, genomic immunology, and biomedical science. He has conducted research at the Mayo Clinic College of Medical Science, UCSF’s Memory and Aging Center, and the Gladstone Institutes. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and hanging out with his cat Fred.
